I’m Erin Mullis, an abstract artist obsessed with bold colors, wild textures, and the magic of letting go. My work is a rebellion against perfection—torn book pages, layered chaos, and paint that refuses to stay inside the lines. Every piece is a little glimpse into my journey of healing, growth, and embracing the beautifully unpredictable.

Fueled by coffee, music, and the occasional existential crisis, I paint to tell stories without words—to create something raw, real, and impossible to ignore.

Want to see what happens when I let color take control? Stick around. It’s gonna get messy.

Frequently asked questions

How long have you been painting?

I have always been an artist but didn’t take my painting seriously until I turned 42 in 2020.

What do you enjoy painting?

In the fall of 2023 I began a series of abstracts that focuses on abstracting natural elements of houseplants, landscapes and flowers. I have been building upon the figurative work that I consider my foundational studies using acrylics and oils. My goal is to master the building of mixed media to create engaging works that make the viewer feel encompassed by large format artworks. In a nutshell, I love things that make me feel small in a big universe.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! All artworks over $150 are shipped free world wide.

Do you offer classes?

As of the spring of 2024, I do not offer classes or workshops. I am currently a busy momma right with two children. If you’d like to host a workshop, please send me an email.

How do you price your artwork?

I estimate cost by square inch of the piece and evaluate my pricing annually for all my original works. Prints are calculated according to current market pricing and the cost of shipping.

Is your work in a gallery?

Yes, I currently have work in Galleria, Holland, Michigan where I also have a small studio space.

What is your favorite color?

I have an obsession with Quinacridone magenta! It is a beautiful color that is a blend of red and violet that positively jumps off the canvas. When it is mixed with teal it creates the most lovely violet. You will spot it frequently in much of my work.
